From our beginnings in 1831, when we took our first steps in the agricultural world in Baena, known as the cradle of olive oil, we have traced a trajectory of constant growth, marked by important milestones that have defined our evolution as a company.

2003

We returned to Portugal and bought the first agricultural property.

2005

We built the first industrial facility, an oil mill.

New line of business: Olives. We became the largest producer in Portugal.

Our foray into the production of table olives in 2007 was a turning point. In a short time, we became the main producer in Portugal in this specific area of ​​business, thus consolidating our presence and leadership in the sector.

2013

We expand the winery and the mill capacity.

2013 witnessed a significant boost in our production capacity with the expansion of our warehouse and mill, strengthening our infrastructure to meet growing demand and improve the quality of our products.

2014

We promote industrial and agricultural growth for olives.

Expansion continued in 2014 with a clear focus on industrial and agricultural growth aimed at the production of table olives, reinforcing our key position in this market.

2015

We enter the nuts sector. We are established in the US and South America.

Diversification was key for us in 2015. We entered the nuts sector and expanded our operations commercially in the United States and South America. The acquisition of our first farm in Chile was a crucial step for our presence in this region.

2019

Nursery purchase.

2019 marked an important milestone with the acquisition of the nursery, a strategic investment that strengthened our production capacity and allowed us to advance in vegetable production.

2020

New business line: De Prado plantations.

Diversification continued in 2020 with the launch of a new business line: De Prado Plantations, an important step that expanded our offer and consolidated our presence in new agricultural sectors.

2021

Construction of the Lagar in Vendinha, the largest oil factory in the world.

2021 was another key year with the construction of our factory in Vendinha, the largest oil factory in the world. This is a sustainable project complemented by photovoltaic systems in our industrial facilities and field, embracing more environmentally friendly energy practices. We also implemented the American model in the field, marking the dawn of a new era for our company.

2022

Purchase of a leading company in phytosanitary products: Acano. Rebranding of De Prado plantations: AGR Global.

2022 was a crucial moment with the purchase of Elaia, an integration that positioned us with a total of 30,000 hectares and 800 employees, significantly strengthening our presence and operational capacity.

2023

Purchase of a leading company in phytosanitary products: Acano. Rebranding of De Prado plantations: AGR Global.

Finally, 2023 represented another step in our expansion and diversification strategy with the acquisition of Acano, a leading phytosanitary company. This not only expanded our reach in the agricultural field, but also involved a rebranding of De Prado Plantations, now known as AGR Global, marking a new phase of growth and consolidation within the agricultural sector.
